Nigerian Journal of Postharvest Research (NJPHR)

The Nigerian Journal of Postharvest Research (NJPHR), an official publication of the Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute (NSPRI), invites the submission of original research articles, review papers, case studies, and short communications for its upcoming issue.
NJPHR publishes high-quality research in postharvest science, technology, and management, directly supporting NSPRI’s mission to develop solutions for reducing postharvest losses in Nigeria and beyond.
Scope of the Journal:
We welcome submissions in the following areas:
Postharvest physiology and pathology
Storage technologies and innovations
Food preservation and processing
Pest management in stored products
Food security and rural development
Related fields contributing to postharvest loss reduction
Manuscript Categories and Word Limits:
Original Research Articles (4,000–8,000 words)
Review Articles (5,000–10,000 words)
Case Studies (3,000–5,000 words)
Short Communications (2,000–3,500 words)
Submission Guidelines:
Format: Microsoft Word (.docx); Times New Roman, 12-point font; double-spaced
Structure: Title page, abstract (150–250 words), keywords, main text (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion)
Referencing: APA 7th edition
Ethical Compliance: Maximum 10% similarity index (Turnitin/Grammarly report encouraged); disclosure of conflicts of interest required
